There are those who go to law school – and so they wind up in a law firm, even if not as attorneys. That’s when the real world hits ’em, presenting a very different picture of the occupation than what they’d come to expect from their studies. Generally one would have two to three years or so to earn around three credits towards maintaining one’s professional license to practice. In the case of a lawyer, for example, he or she may elect to study tax law or housing law for two credits and one credit, respectively.
